Easter Fun

Look at these guys. Aren't they cute. Okay I'll stop. But I was really impressed on how these turned out. The kids love them to. I tested them with the kids at our small group last night. And one little girl said, Aww they're cute. I got a little satisfaction out of that. They are extremely simple to make.

White Cake mix
8 oz tub of cool whip
Big bag of marshmallows
Colored sugar
Decorators gel

You bake the cupcakes according to the box, about 20 minutes or so. Let them compltely cool. The divide the cool whip evenly into two bowls and use some food coloring, if you want, to change the color of the frosting. (I am thinking it would be even better with cream cheese frosting). Frost each cupcake. The take one marshmallow. Cut it into thirds. Use two of them to make the bunny faces. Dip the sticky part into the colored sugar and place on cupcake. Then as you'll be able to see with the last little part of marshmallow you have, you can kinda shape them and make four ears out of them. See so simple.
Make sure you refrigerate them, cause of the cool whip.
I am doing a lot of cooking and baking this week and really having fun doing it.

More Flowers

These beautys are from Gracie. We stayed at her "Red House" over the weekend and when we walked in friday night she had left these flowers, with a balloon, and a note! So sweet! It really set the mood for us.

Anniversary Flowers

These are from hubby. Believe it or not. The flower shop called and left a mesage while the kids and I were outside playing on friday. They wanted to know what time I would be home to recieve these flowers. Way to ruin the surprise! But I still love these, he usually doesn't get me roses, cause I don't particularly like them, but this arrangment was beautiful.

The "Red House"

This past weekend hubby and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary. We actually took off for the whole weekend. Hubby's parents came and stayed with the kiddos, all weekend! We took the long and trecherous trip to Quarryville to the Red House. It was so spectacular. What did we do?
Nothing!!!!!!
And it was so nice. We did go to the condowingo park on saturday, it was very windy, but we got to see something really interesting. Well okay a lot of you might not find this interesting. But we saw the "Schad" migrating up the bank of the susquehanna river. What are "Schad"? They are fish! I know, I know not too exciting, but it was for us, more so for neal. I enjoyed the nature of it. Enough, enough. The kids did really well for my in laws. Bless them for taking on such a hard job all weekend. Rowan and aliana woke up a couple times but they did well during the day for them. So that made me feel better.
Friday night as we we're leaving I said to neal, mayby a whole weekend is too long, but he reassured me it would be fine. It took a little and I was able to let it go. We enjoyed the time to talk and honestly, this sounds lazy, but we loved not having to get up every 5 seconds to chase after one of the kids. That was the nicest for me, I felt i needed a break, did I deserve it, I don't know about that, but it was still awesome.
I dipped some peanut butter eggs and peanut butter cookies in choc this afternoon, I should go put them away.
Oh and for those of you who we're wondering, we DID NOT lock ourselves out in the hot tub this weekend!!!!!!
